This is a one day course intended to equip staff working in private service or in a hospitality situation with all the skills to ensure their establishments or teams run smoothly with maximum efficiency and minimum fuss. The day is very intensive and covers a wide range of management issues. The style of teaching is interactive and offers students a chance to get involved in discussions and group work.

| 1.15pm – 2.00pm | Managing and finding the right people – stress and time management, managing expectations and brick walling, where to find staff, how to employ and keep them, motivation skills |

| 3.00pm – 3.30pm | The law, money, security, risk management, managing an event and multiple properties |
| 3.30pm – 4.00pm | Case studies and group work on a management issue |
| 4.00pm – 4.15pm | Questions, answers and problem solving |
| 4.15pm – 4.30pm | Questions and answers |
| 4.15pm – 4.30pm | Tea and course ends |
Students need to bring a pen and wear comfortable but reasonably smart clothes (not jeans).
